The supervisor was very attentive during the interview, and even the exit interview was handled with great care. The company is quite generous in providing beverages and coffee.
It was the supervisor’s first time managing people, and there was no clear direction or onboarding process. Training was given based on whatever came to mind, with no schedule or time planning. A lot of company information was opaque and unclear; when I asked, I was told, “You’ll know later.” They were reluctant to provide materials because they were worried new employees might not stay, yet they expected people to know a little about everything, which was rather strange. Whenever I asked questions, the supervisor would say, “You have to think for yourself. The qualities of a salesperson are having an expansive imagination and knowing how to think.” I could never get answers when I encountered obstacles or needed professional knowledge. The supervisor often said things like, “When I was a salesperson, I handled everything myself.” If the supervisor provided incorrect information, they would not admit it and would only say that I had misunderstood what they meant. Cliques were a serious problem at the company: people were excluded from private lunch orders and even reported on. Whenever they made a mistake, they blamed someone else. The atmosphere was very poor.
