Pros

It was thoughtful of them to provide small bottles of drinking water, and the receptionist was nice.

The interview atmosphere was relaxed, possibly because I had already decided not to take the job after hearing the offer:)

Cons

Everything not mentioned here is the same as in the post by 大大 on the second floor (2018), showing that this company has not changed at all in three years:)

Oh, there is one difference: because the government minimum wage was raised to 24,000, no matter how good a university you graduated from—for example, even if you scored 740 on the TOEIC—

you still start at the minimum wage!

1. I asked for 33,000, leaving room for bargaining.

Them: “Is there room for negotiation?”

Me: “OK.”

Them: “We probably can’t go that high. We’re offering 24,000...... blah blah, omitted below.”

My desire to find a job vanished on the spot~This is hilarious—what kind of negotiation is this? Please......did they think I was holding a going-out-of-business sale?

2. Whether you graduated from a related department, have excellent award-winning academic results, hold more than one language certificate, have internship experience, or possess other advantages, everyone is treated exactly the same: minimum wage! Yes! This era is all about equality! The form I spent half an hour filling out was all for nothing! Because they don’t care at all~They tell you that good performance will lead to a raise, but I don’t know whether that’s true. Anyway, I don’t really trust people who offer this kind of salary from the very beginning:)

3. Thanks to this website, I already had some understanding of this company’s 【you’re-terrible routine】. But I’m fairly confident in my own education and experience, so I wanted to hear just how badly I could be criticized. Unexpectedly, they didn’t say much—maybe I’m just thick-skinned and didn’t care much, or maybe he was in a good mood:)

That man might have felt uncomfortable because he hadn’t been able to use the traditional 【you’re-terrible routine】 from beginning to end, so only at the end did he ask, “Is your English good?”

Honestly, I really couldn’t see why the salary I was being offered or the work I understood 喜陽 to involve would require any English ability. Anyway, I said I was pretty good and mentioned that I had scored 740.

“Our company has National Cheng Kung University graduates who scored 800 saying their English is terrible! And you say you’re good?”

“Are they also......production assistants (24,000)?”

“Yeah.”

Me: oO Wow......

Didn’t you see the N2 listed on my résumé? You have the nerve to offer 24,000 and still expect me to have a TOEIC score of 990, Japanese N1, and a master’s degree from France or something?

This is hilarious. I hadn’t even decided whether to join, and they were already treating me from above like this—is that really OK?

4. A company that doesn’t offer even basic respect or dignity, yet still wants to find good employees?

Here’s a joke: Siyang Video Production Co., Ltd. :D
