The other colleagues are quite easy to get along with
During the interview, they said they had been looking for someone for this position for quite a while.
They hired me on the spot (I’ll describe the actual work situation below).
Throughout the interview, the boss spent more time probing the applicant’s reactions.
Here is what the actual work situation was like:
During my first week at the company, I was basically left to fend for myself.
On the first day, they only explained that I needed to organize and plan online and offline activities, and then told me to become familiar with the company’s products within two days.
After that, they gave me no further instructions.
I could only rely on my own judgment, ask my colleagues for advice, and plan what needed to be done next.
One day that week, just before the end of the workday, the boss handed me over to a certain department, hoping I could offer some opinions. I stayed until almost 7 p.m. before leaving.
One evening after work, he sent me a “concerned” message.
Then he sent another message over the weekend... (BTW, there is no overtime pay.)
He wanted me to present a proposal for the follow-up plan the next Monday.
????
(At this point, I actually wanted to quit.)
Because he himself had no idea what specific and concrete tasks this position was supposed to handle. He simply hoped the other person could accurately guess the marketing framework he had in mind.
I had just entered this industry, and on top of that, I had not received enough information, yet he wanted me to prepare a proposal.
I eventually managed to produce one, but it was not what he wanted.
He then wanted me to plan all of this year’s activities within “two days,”
as well as the posting schedule for the social media platforms.
That morning, he even told other colleagues not to put too much pressure on me because I had just joined the company =.=
The next day, he said he would be going out and wanted me to report earlier. After I presented my report, it seemed that it still wasn’t what he wanted.
I had planned to submit my resignation the following day, but HR asked me about my work situation that day, so I resigned immediately.
There was no systematic management or record-keeping for the marketing work.
They said they wanted me to organize events, yet they could not even provide records or plans from past events, expecting me to create everything from nothing.
They were solely focused on capturing the entire market, this huge piece of pie.
They completely ignored market research and market share. It was bizarre.
