Pros

There is air conditioning.

Cons

Applying for a telephone sales position

1. The office does not match the photos on the job bank website; it is an old office, and the work environment appears crowded.

2. You have to fill out a handwritten résumé again before the interview.

3. During the interview, the interviewer had no idea who you were or where you came from, and only began asking questions and getting to know you based on the résumé information you filled out upon entering. Very unprofessional!

4. The salary is very poor.

5. The telephone sales department has only been established for three years. The supervisor claims to have been doing telephone sales their entire life, but even their interview responses made them seem rather foolish. Can you really learn anything from this supervisor? I remain skeptical...

6. The interview was handled by a general administrative staff member, not a professional HR representative.

【Salary Structure—What I Heard】

Base salary: Less than NT$25K (including the most basic labor and health insurance)

Bonus: Up to 1%

During the probationary period: Total monthly pay is within NT$35K; bonuses range from NT$5K to NT$10K.

Sales quota: New employees are required to handle up to NT$1 million (while receiving only a 1% bonus)

【Summary】

The supervisor claimed that senior employees could receive higher bonuses, but was unwilling to disclose the average salary, only mentioning that there are many capable salespeople who can earn NT$40K–50K per month. (Are you kidding me? The TOP Sales at your company can only earn this much per month? You could directly apply to be a real estate agent and get a base salary of NT$50K.... Your company is really generous with its bonuses...

I was ghosted, so I deliberately emailed them on Saturday and Sunday to ask about the interview result, and received a reply outside working hours. It seems the administrative staff are also on a responsibility-based work system without overtime pay~

In the end, I chose a job at another company. The base salary alone is NT$35K, with bonuses calculated separately. It is also a telephone sales position for personal loans, with exactly the same working hours. Regardless of the type of sales, the time and energy you need to invest when starting a job will definitely be greater than in clerical work (if you want to make money quickly), and the psychological demands are also higher than for clerical work (after all, you have to shoulder a sales quota). The base salary will definitely not be the amount you want to earn each month, so it is especially important to look at the average monthly bonuses earned by the sales staff across the entire company. If the company’s sales staff can only earn the same salary as ordinary customer service representatives each month, then why do sales at all?
