At first, the interview time we had originally agreed on was suddenly postponed by half an hour. Then, after I arrived at the counter, they were almost half an hour late again. My impression after the first interview was already not very good. It took three weeks before they contacted me to say there would be a second interview. At first, they said it would be at the head office, but later changed it to a café. The key point was that they did not even provide the phone number of the manager conducting the second interview. When I arrived, I still had to contact the area supervisor, who then contacted them. What exactly was the problem? After multiple rounds of evaluation, I still joined the company. As it turned out, you really should trust your first instinct. They kept emphasizing that the company was very caring, dedicated to public welfare, and people-oriented, treating not only customers but employees the same way. However, the counter manager allocated the sales generated by the new employee to the sales staff in an unreasonable and unfair manner. During a promotional period, the counter manager even covered a shift for half a day, leaving only the new employee working in the evening, overwhelmed with work. Yet all the sales were credited to the counter manager?? The new employee was basically treated as a tool for generating sales (because new employees do not receive sales commissions). Recently, with the outbreak of the pandemic, they kept asking in the group chat every day about sales and every minor matter at the counter. If you did not reply within one or two hours, they would tag you again, regardless of whether you were off or working. The counter manager would even publicly criticize people in the group chat. It was truly mentally and physically exhausting. Then, when I privately reported issues to the area supervisor, they insisted on posting them in the group chat, allowing the counter manager to keep arguing. There were clearly serious problems. Regarding days off due to the pandemic, they initially emphasized that the company was considerate of employees and would provide pay, but later changed them into so-called “learning days,” requiring us to call customers from home. To make matters worse, they only provided NT$300 in phone-call reimbursement, which was nowhere near enough. Over the course of the month, there were at least seven or eight days when we had to call customers from home. They expected excellent results without providing the necessary support. New employees did not receive commissions and were paid only NT$25,000, yet they still had to use their own phones to make calls and generate sales. Seriously, what is wrong with this company 😤😤 I strongly advise anyone considering joining this company to think carefully!!
