At the time, I applied for a position tracing circles and audio (the kind of outsourced contract work done from home).
Before the interview, I first had to complete a test at home. After passing, I went to the first interview. It then took nearly a month before the second interview (contract signing and work briefing). At the time, after I filled out the contract in the meeting room, my supervisor directly forgot about me and left me inside. I even had to find my way into their office area in the dark to look for someone.
After the second interview, there was also an online test to determine my workload and priority for selecting assignments among the people in the same batch. After the online test ended, it took nearly another month before I started a work “trial.” Then, after another half a month, they said there were finally scripts available. After I completed the audio portion, they kept dragging things out for nearly another month, only to suddenly say that the image files had to be completed in less than a week???
At the time, in order to do this contract work properly, I had even given up my other full-time clerical job. Yet nearly four months after my interview ended, the company still hadn’t properly given me any work. They dragged things out for ages, then suddenly made it urgent and pushed all the work pressure onto the outsourced workers?
Later, after hearing nothing for a long time, I found another job. I explained to my supervisor that I would have less time for contract work, and after that, my supervisor simply stopped replying altogether.
They leave people with nothing to live on and still don’t allow them to find other work????
During the interview, they even made it sound so good, saying that if there were lots of contract assignments, you could earn more than their full-time employees—what a load of bullshit.
