Punctual working hours
Not a waste of time if you only want to coast for a year or two, but otherwise you may want to think twice. It is a family business, and the boss's moods are rather volatile. As for sales, basically everything will be considered the sales team's problem. The entire company only sets sales KPIs; no other departments have KPIs, including PM, procurement, engineering, accounting, and HR. Only sales has KPIs.
Also... even after bringing in orders, shipments are extremely slow and lead times are very long (connectors generally take about two months to ship, while finished 3C products take about four months to ship). But... the boss will say it is the sales team's problem. There are no resources provided; you have to bring in orders yourself. Trade shows, product exposure, and everything else are completely unplanned, and you are expected to figure it out yourself. Even if you have resources and customers, it is useless without product positioning, because the boss requires you to write a pile of proposals before they will (possibly) invest. Based on experience, that is not very likely.
You cannot leave your seat for more than 20–30 minutes (including contacting and calling overseas customers). You can only obediently sit at your desk. But if you have no sales performance, that will also be considered the sales team's problem. The key point is that sales basically has to shoulder everything, including shipping, moving goods, and making deliveries, while fuel costs and vehicle maintenance come out of your own pocket as a salesperson.
