I heard they provide a cup of water and a coaster.
Criticism of Ogilvy—complaints about Ogilvy
Ogilvy social media junior position
In early October 2020, they proactively contacted my girlfriend (I don’t know how long they had been looking to fill this position before contacting her).
Throughout the process, they kept selecting and picking candidates.
On April 1, 2021, HR finally contacted my girlfriend’s classmate, who is also my friend A. (A had applied two or three weeks earlier and was only then contacted; moreover, he had applied more than once. He estimated that he was contacted so late because he was one of the candidates left after the others had been chosen.)
I don’t know whether they’ll keep looking.
But for a position that only offers a monthly salary of 30,000,
a salary not even as good as making bubble tea,
they can still spend at least half a year picking candidates, hehe.
And they’re still posting the position in all kinds of work-related Facebook groups and university department groups.
It’s basically the salary of a janitor with the standards and hurdles of a CEO position.
Oh right, I heard the HR person was actually pretty nice (the one whose name starts with B), but the two managers who conducted the interview had really sour expressions and spoke quite sarcastically.
Also, those managers were pretty out of touch. They didn’t even know that NCCU’s College of Communication had merged and was no longer divided into advertising, broadcasting and television, and journalism.
They still thought the current program was a non-degree course, hehe. It really makes you wonder whether the managers actually have any experience interviewing new hires.
