Pros

Employed at ADLINK – Customer Care Department (approximately three years)

1. The workspace is fairly open.

2. Coffee and vending machines are available for purchase.

3. The company has an employee welfare committee that organizes various activities and prize draws.

4. Shopping points or movie vouchers are distributed for the Dragon Boat Festival, other holidays, birthdays, and similar occasions.

Cons

1. You have to gauge your supervisor’s mood before you can apply for overtime pay.

2. There are often unreasonable instructions from upper management.

3. Asking senior colleagues questions may still earn you an eye roll, and you may not receive the help you need.

4. Managers tend to use emotions to control frontline employees, creating excessive pressure.

5. Even when applying for leave before resigning, the request may be rejected and changed to an application for annual leave.

6. The workload is excessive. Reporting it to the supervisor does not solve the problem; they simply push back by asking why nothing has been resolved.

7. There is no free time for activities during work hours, and you often feel watched. Things discussed casually with colleagues quickly spread...

8. The department culture is not free. You may even be warned that you are being too conspicuous for becoming too friendly with another department (?)

9. Participating in club activities after work may result in a warning that your voice is too loud, along with being told that this is not your home but a company. Even after explaining the reason and pointing out that it was after working hours, I was still warned...

10. The department has a high turnover rate. Even after HR highlighted issues with the management level, the management style still did not improve.

11. Overtime is frequent. Applying for overtime requires prior notice, and you need a justifiable reason for the application to be approved.

If you fail to notify them in advance, your supervisor will call you to your desk the next day to question you..?
