Sometimes the supervisor is absent, so it feels more relaxed.
1. I work at the Taipei office with the title of Sales Assistant, but in practice I am essentially the assistant to a female department head. I am mainly responsible for everything related to an imported health food product—from importation to shipping, negotiating with distributors, clearing inventory while also handling sales, managing the fan page, replying to customer inquiries, creating images and publishing posts, confirming and following up on payments, and so on. I also assist a medical aesthetics clinic with creating images, publishing posts as the Facebook page administrator, and other tasks. The salary is not high, and they make full use of all your abilities. They tell you that they see your efforts and that you will not be treated unfairly once things take off, but in reality, it is just empty promises... If the department head makes a mistake and something goes wrong, she may shift the blame to subordinates, and you may inexplicably be bad-mouthed.
2. Regardless of the amount, all expenses must be approved by the boss. They are sometimes returned or simply left unresolved, making it very difficult to apply for funding. Applications for off-site training are also rejected by the boss, as are contracts with clients.
This is a company that is unwilling to develop talent and unwilling to spend money on marketing, yet expects you to sell products without offering commissions or bonuses. I really recommend not coming here....
