Pros

1. The interviewer was very kind and friendly, and also explained the job duties and company policies in great detail during the interview.

2. The overall work environment was clean and bright.

3. The restaurant provides meals, but they will not proactively tell you about this; if you do not ask, you will simply be left to starve.

4. Salaries are paid on time without delays or arrears.

Cons

1. The manager of the Yongkang branch has a great deal of room for improvement in emotional self-control. They often yell and curse at new employees at the counter, affecting customers’ dining experience. (For example: “For fuck’s sake, can you open your ears?”)

2. Uniforms are not provided for free; you have to pay for them, unless you stay for a certain period of time. This effectively pressures you not to quit in the short term, and the material is hot and uncomfortable.

3. Employees are yelled at and mocked by the manager for chatting during their meal and rest breaks.

4. There is no specific standard SOP for training new employees. Everyone explains things differently and gives different versions. They often get busy with customers halfway through an explanation and forget to provide complete instructions. When new employees proactively ask questions afterward, they are told that it has already been explained and taught to them, that they should not ask a second time, and that they are not allowed to make mistakes.

5. Whenever a mistake occurs, the blame will always be placed on the new employee; the facts do not matter.

6. They require employees to be ready to perform immediately. No matter how much or how quickly you improve, if the manager is not satisfied, they are simply not satisfied. It also becomes clear that this is not the first or second time the manager has driven away new employees.

7. The restaurant provides customer satisfaction survey forms for customers to fill out. During my employment, I received quite a few compliments from warm and kind customers, which caused dissatisfaction among the manager and some colleagues. The work atmosphere was extremely poor, and the mental stress and burden were also very heavy.
