巴特里食品有限公司
Pros

The factory is close to the urban area, so it is relatively convenient. There is a high degree of freedom—you can smoke or go to the restroom at any time.

Cons

The company has been understaffed for a long time. There is far too much overtime, and the boss is unhappy about it, yet they never think about why employees have to work overtime almost every day. It’s simply because there aren’t enough people. They all think it’s the employees’ problem. New hires don’t stay; even those who last the longest don’t exceed three months, and some stop showing up the very next day. There are tons of job postings on the manpower websites—does that not register? They want to pay one salary and get the output of several people. Employees aren’t stupid, you know.

That’s how family businesses are: they do whatever they want without considering how exhausting it is for their employees to accommodate them. One sentence from management can disrupt the entire workflow, and then delay the work that was originally scheduled, which they complain about afterward. SOPs are only mentioned when something goes seriously wrong.

They want to keep expanding before they have even established a solid foundation. They’re too greedy and want to sell every kind of product, which is why they can’t produce acceptable quality in the end and can only outsource the work to contract manufacturers.

The company has its own way of calculating wages. Anyone can tell that the Labor Standards Act is treated as merely a reference. The clock-in system is also not okay: the times are preset, and if you forget to clock out, it automatically determines your departure time. If you don’t go to the office to submit a correction form, too bad for you—they deduct money from your pay.

If something goes wrong, you have to figure out how to solve it yourself. The company has no support measures or contingency procedures. Only people who believe they have an extremely low error rate are suited to work here; otherwise, get ready to be thoroughly chewed out.

If you love working overtime, let me say: welcome. You won’t have to worry about not getting overtime—you only have to worry about refusing to work it.

Even after cooperating one hundred percent, you still get criticized. It really isn’t worth it.
