EZTABLE_香港商簡單桌有限公司台灣分公司
Pros

While I was still there, getting along with my colleagues was extremely comfortable. We respected, learned from, and cared about one another, and brainstorming together was a lot of fun. The relationships among colleagues were so good that we would even go out together during our days off. When I left, one of my supervisors even told me that I had been exploited there and that my talents had been underutilized. In fact, we all cared deeply about each other’s growth in every respect.

Cons

The people leading the company were actually the biggest problem. They did not have a clear sense of direction regarding the company’s future. Since it had become nearly impossible to find funding or people willing to invest, the company resorted to all kinds of strange tactics to keep itself hovering on the brink between shutting down and staying afloat.

Working with the top boss was extremely difficult and required a very high EQ and a great deal of endurance, because he was the kind of person who spent half of meetings shouting and screaming or called you at three in the morning and told you to call him back. He would use one person as if they were three, then, when he discovered that you were working overtime, consider it your own personal problem. He was the kind of person who took all the credit for achievements while shifting all the blame for failures onto others. His concern for self-esteem and saving face was already beyond reasonable limits. Whenever anyone threatened his fragile dignity, he would fly into a rage and begin engaging in all kinds of workplace bullying. All I can say is that the people still there either have supervisors who shield them perfectly so they never need to deal with the boss directly, or they are extremely submissive—or have nowhere else to go.

The “senior executive” mentioned in other reviews really did enjoy playing political games and filing reports against others to win the boss’s trust. However, it must also be said that he protected his own department very well. Even when the company implemented substantial pay cuts because it genuinely had no money, he would rather take a pay cut himself than let the people under him suffer. I still have a certain degree of respect for him for that. Although he was also someone who used various methods to consolidate power and would quietly stab you in the back while maintaining a conciliatory manner, I suppose that was also a way of surviving.

As for the boss himself, I believe his arrogance, lack of foresight, and distrust of people were the biggest reasons EZTABLE fell to rock bottom and lost so many employees. Unfortunately, he was incapable of self-reflection. He would shift every problem onto other people and believe that he had done nothing wrong.

Working at a company like this was actually very difficult. If you want to go there, I won’t tell you not to, but you should clearly understand that the company had very little money and not much of a future. I think that either something would have to happen to completely change the company’s direction and start over from scratch, or bankruptcy would simply be a matter of time.
