Short-term worker in the raw food department.
If you are willing to work overtime, you can earn a lot of money in a short time.
The work is simple and easy to learn.
The work environment is clean and bright, with air conditioning.
You must wear food-processing attire, including a hat, mask, uniform, outer garment, and rubber boots.
The smell of raw meat follows you everywhere. After the work period ended, I was unable to eat sausages for some time.
You have to stand for long periods and carry heavy loads. Although there is a ten-minute break every two hours and you can ask for assistance if something is too heavy, your entire body will still ache, your muscles will feel as if they are burning, and your joints will feel as though they are coming apart. I remember someone even had to see an orthopedist, though I do not know what happened afterward.
I do not know whether all full-time employees are like this, whether the full-time employees in the raw food department are especially difficult to get along with, or whether the people I encountered simply had poor character.
If you cooperate with overtime, the full-time employees take it for granted and may even sarcastically criticize you and scold you for being in the way. If you cannot work overtime, they will act as though you deserve to die and are too stupid to earn money even when it is available.
There are many more drawbacks. In short, I personally think that if you can endure a month as a short-term worker, you deserve a round of applause. As for becoming a full-time employee? Please let me think about it—and then think about it some more.
