Applied for a media digital editor position. There was a phone interview first, and as soon as they called, they required me to speak entirely in English, even though the job posting on 104 did not specifically indicate that advanced English proficiency was required. It felt somewhat abrupt.
During the second interview, they kept asking what I thought about the company's product. I replied that I could not find a way to operate the software anywhere online, so I was unable to provide any substantive suggestions.
However, the interviewer kept going around in circles, saying that the software was intended for companies rather than individuals. In that case, how was I supposed to discuss my user experience?
They were also unwilling to give me a brief introduction to or demonstration of the software during the interview, yet kept asking me for my thoughts. I can only say that I do not understand what the company was thinking.
The office was small and messy. It appeared that everyone used their own laptop, so the company might not provide hardware.
