The company atmosphere is very quiet and feels quite conservative.

The building the company is located in, as well as the interior, is old and feels a bit... low.

I interviewed for an e-commerce purchasing position. From what I heard, the company wants to learn from other department stores and develop online shopping, but it has no ideas or logical plan at all—including how to negotiate or what bargaining chips to use. Do they even have online shopping contracts? At present, none of this exists; everything would have to be developed and negotiated by this employee alone. I asked whether the physical stores would also provide support with recruitment or marketing negotiations. The answer was that one supervisor at each branch would help and mobilize the floor managers to carry it out. But the floor managers are already extremely busy, and the performance does not belong to them—why would they take on extra work...?

Overall, it was impossible to tell what direction e-commerce would take in the future. It feels like the role would have to handle everything under the sun. There are no established methods for coordinating with or requesting assistance from various marketing media channels. How is one junior employee supposed to mobilize the entire company’s executives to do online shopping?!
