The general manager is self-aggrandizing and enthusiastic about displaying her own name on various promotional materials. She also likes to increase her personal exposure at brand press conferences through her less-than-impressive speaking skills. During her more than four-year tenure, the turnover rate among office and field staff rose sharply, mainly because decisions were emotional and changeable. She avoids any team conflicts while enjoying creating friction among colleagues in different departments, and allows the managers under her to draw salaries without fulfilling their responsibilities.
During work hours, the sales manager openly trades stocks, watches the market, and plays mobile games in front of colleagues and clients. Even worse, he uses extremely insulting language to verbally abuse and bully subordinates. The education manager’s professional knowledge and abilities have failed to keep pace with the times. Relying on the fact that the brand’s sales staff have longer tenure, this manager only invokes “inner demons” and demands that people remain calm, obscuring the core support and development responsibilities that education and training should fulfill.
Regarding the supervisory responsibilities described above, senior management cannot escape blame. Unfortunately, they still rely on tactics that are effective only at internal infighting and ineffective externally. In addition to spreading unrealistic information and blacklisting former employees, the company also has many unresolved lawsuits involving labor-management disputes.
