Basically, the work is pretty relaxed. When people work overtime, it’s generally for the money. Some departments do force employees to work overtime just to show upper management, so if you join, you should first check what people say about your department. Personally, I’m too lazy to claim overtime pay, but if you work overtime up to the limit stipulated by the Labor Standards Act, your monthly salary will increase by a quarter. If you don’t mind working overtime, it may be worth considering.

Also, starting in 2020, whether because of the pandemic or some other reason, the company began making a lot more money. The mid-year bonus and year-end bonus became quite substantial. The monthly salary isn’t high, so if you’re considering joining, you need to look at the company’s current business performance; otherwise, it’ll be tough if you can only rely on the monthly salary.

There’s fitness equipment, treadmills, and things like that available for free. They’re a bit run-down, but better than nothing. There’s also a basketball court, a coffee bar, and a few other things that I personally think are pretty nice.

The department I used to work in had a pretty good atmosphere. There wasn’t any palace intrigue or other nonsense. It’s probably about the only place left that doesn’t force people to work overtime? From what I heard from others while exercising, the other departments seem to be quite unpleasant...

There may be forced overtime, asshole managers, uncooperative old office hands, and almost everyone practically revolving around a certain person. I’m pretty low-ranking, so it doesn’t affect me, but it’s still somewhat annoying...
