Cons

One of the three rudest interviews I have ever experienced. Throughout the conversation, they seemed to deliberately or inadvertently project an attitude of “I wasn’t planning to hire you anyway.” They kept repeating, “We are a listed company,” though I’m not sure what they were trying to show off about. But when it came to salary, they said, “We’re neither a gambling company nor a startup, so we won’t offer that much.”

They were mainly looking for someone to work on-site at a life insurance company. How should I put it? I’ve met quite a few managers, but I’ve never seen a small-time employee act so superior—more high and mighty than managers at major companies. If you want to experience interviewing with an emperor, give it a try. Don’t forget to kneel and bow, and chant, “Long live His Majesty, ten thousand years!”

If the person interviewing you has this kind of attitude, you can imagine what the company culture is like. You’ll run into self-important imperial heirs everywhere there, you know.
