The interview was terrible.
The HR person stammered when speaking.
The general manager will chew you out.
The website advertised a sales assistant position.
At the on-site interview, they said the position was actually for a salesperson: you would start as a sales assistant, then switch to sales after three months. You’re expected to understand both sales assistance and sales, and you also have to have your own car and be able to drive. Wow, what a multifunctional role.
The general manager will also come in and chew you out, saying that if you want higher pay, you have to work in sales, and that driving to visit clients is basic for salespeople. If I can’t do that, is it my problem?
Oh, let me ask you this: Did I apply for a sales position? I applied for a sales assistant position! It’s simply ridiculous! They’ll also say that a sales assistant’s salary can only be this much! I guess they don’t dare write it on the posting because the company is so remote that no one wants to apply!
The job posting said nothing about any of this! It only said they were hiring a sales assistant! It didn’t say the position would be changed to sales! You have to know how to drive! You have to go out and visit clients! What a joke.
