When I received the call about the interview, I already felt that the HR representative was not very logical. They asked whether morning or afternoon was convenient for me, then suddenly changed the subject and asked where I lived. After finding out that I lived far away, they automatically scheduled me for a morning interview?! The HR representative said the company had its own resume form that needed to be completed and returned, but they did not send it to me until the next day.
On the day of the interview, I rode from Taoyuan to Wugu. HR spent only five minutes showing me where to go and asking me one question before sending me home. The question was, “Do you have any relatives at SGS?” I said yes. They replied, “Sorry, then you are not even eligible for an interview...” because company policy prohibits anyone with relatives within six degrees of kinship from joining the company.
However, this question was already included on their own resume form, and I answered it truthfully. If this is the rule, why didn’t they tell me after receiving my completed resume? Why wait until I arrived in person to tell me? This was truly terrible HR!!!
