Seems to be about the same as what others have said.
I recommend not applying for contract software development positions in Group 1 of the Information Center.
Previously, several other contract colleagues and I were required to work overtime every day (approximately two hours) for as long as six months. The supervisor repeatedly cited insufficient ability and a duty-based system as reasons for not granting the compensatory leave or overtime pay we were entitled to (although I had consulted the center director and learned that there was a relevant budget).
You may be assigned multiple projects at once, or put solely in charge of a large project that would basically require several people to complete. The workload is excessive and unreasonable; when you cannot finish it, you will be told that your abilities are insufficient and pressured into working overtime.
In addition, the supervisor would require contract employees to come to work without pay during school holidays. The personnel department also informed the supervisor that we should be allowed to take holidays normally, but the supervisor still insisted that we work during holidays solely to achieve better project progress.
The supervisor has also personally attacked colleagues whose project progress was behind schedule. Although colleagues got along harmoniously and amicably, the supervisor’s behavior seriously affected the workplace atmosphere.
Other contract colleagues who resigned had also reported these issues to the center director, but no improvement was seen.
