The HR representative was extremely pleasant.
1. The written test questions were all unrelated to the position being applied for (at the end, they will ask you to sign a confidentiality agreement).
2. During the Q&A, the supervisor deliberately probes into your past, which can make you feel very uncomfortable.
3. If you pass the interview, you will need to go through a second interview and a final interview. The first interview is with the position supervisor, the second is with the head of HR, and the final one is with the boss.
The interview process may be extended by more than a day (in terms of the total actual time).
4. If you pass the first interview, HR will ask you to provide references before the second interview begins. This means they need to contact your supervisor at your former company. If you are unwilling to provide one, they will ask you to provide a university professor’s email address instead. As a result, you will have to notify your former company or university professor that such a reference check will take place, which can feel like a significant waste of time.
During the interview process, only the meeting with HR was relatively pleasant. In other respects, the experience could make you feel very uncomfortable.
