Pros

1. There isn't much to do during the night shift, from 11:30 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. There are 8 days off per month, 2 of which are scheduled by the boss, and the salary is approximately 33,000.

2. The work mainly involves using Excel and the reservation system to record orders from various booking websites, answering phone calls, assigning rooms, issuing invoices with the cash register, settling the day's revenue, handling guests' requests, and other general front-desk duties. It takes time to learn, but it isn't very difficult.

Cons

1. The hotel's layout is really strange. It occupies specific floors within a building, while the front desk is separate from the hotel itself, located in a space around the corner on the other side of the first floor. I spent a long time trying to find it on my first day.

2. The carpets in the rooms are really quite dirty, and so are the bathrooms. Some of the TVs don't even work. If I were a guest, I wouldn't want to stay there.

3. In addition to this hotel, I also had to be responsible for the Qing'erxi unmanned hotel in Ximending. It felt like the boss was just trying to save money.

4. To enter their rooms, guests have to ask the security guard on the first floor to notify the front desk, then wait for us to run over and help them swipe their access card before they can take the elevator upstairs. It's really inconvenient.

5. I was often harassed by strange foreign guests.

I quit before I had even worked there for six months.
