I interviewed at this company when I had just entered the workforce, and there were still employees working there at the time. Recently, after being bombarded with job-search fatigue again, I went there once more. There seem to be only three people there now: the two older owners (around 60) and a woman in her thirties.
When I entered the company, a woman asked me to sit down for a moment. It was basically a living room in a house converted into an office, with a few shabby and dirty tables. Then a man around 60 interviewed me. First, he asked me to write my desired compensation on the résumé I had brought, so I did. He then asked where I graduated from and where I had worked before. The point is, my résumé was in his hands, so he could have simply looked at it. After asking those few questions, he started rambling, asking how tall I was and talking about a bunch of nonsense unrelated to the job... In the middle of it, he added, “Okay, we’ll notify you again,” and that was about it. I ended up listening to him ramble about height-related topics all the way to the door. Before leaving, I asked when I could find out whether I had been accepted. He said he would notify me within the next two days. But what happened?! A whole week has passed!!
And 1111/104 kept repeatedly sending me job postings like crazy!
I really think that if an interview is just going to involve asking a bunch of pointless questions, don’t waste everyone’s time!
Not only was the conversation pointless, but he kept rambling on with a bunch of nonsense! Obviously, he was just shocked by the salary and couldn’t afford to hire me!
There’s nothing shameful about not being able to afford to hire someone, but if you offer peanuts, you’ll only get monkeys!
You wasted my time, so I’m blocking you directly!
