There are none in my unit.
Although many people outside say this is a place to coast toward retirement, that is completely untrue in my unit.
There are mainly two types of people inside: contract employees recruited through 104, and those with connections behind them. The latter can have a very easy time.
1. Regarding the work:
The workload in my unit is extremely heavy, and we often have to work overtime. We hold a press conference every month and are often the last ones to leave the entire floor.
We frequently have to do many things in laborious, makeshift ways, and every day before leaving work, we have to write down what we did that day.
2. Regarding management:
The supervisor is extremely thin-skinned and very authoritarian. No matter how strange something they say is, you have to go along with it. If you have your own opinions, be prepared to be pushed until you can no longer work there.
They love appearing proactive in front of senior executives or the commissioned organization. Their letters are often embarrassingly ingratiating, and they will take on tasks and assign them to you,
but they have little sense of responsibility. When something goes wrong, they push the blame onto you. They do not respect subordinates much, and their duplicity is far beyond that of ordinary people.
3. Contract employment:
Compared with regular employees, contract employees have very little job security.
In my case, someone had previously resigned, so the supervisor recruited additional people and then used an aggressive approach to drive people out, using this method to bring in their own people.
If you receive a few thousand more because of your work experience but are not considered the most useful, they will find an excuse to get rid of you.
