It depends on the store. If the store isn’t busy and doesn’t have many customers, you may find the work quite fulfilling. However, if the store has a high volume of customers, you need to be mentally prepared. Your supervisor and the company will not accept “the store was very busy” as an explanation; they believe that regardless of how high the sales are, you should still be able to leave work on time.
1. An inventory count is required every day. If you miss the count on any day, your bonus for that month will be reduced to 0.
2. In addition to selling tobacco and alcohol as your main duties, you must also assist as a pickup location. Pickup items include fruit and household goods.
3. The base salary is 23,800. The evaluation form will not result in a salary deduction, but it will reduce your bonus. The evaluation form consists of four major categories and 35 minor items.
4. The bonus fluctuates, but overall you will receive approximately 5,000 or so. This means your monthly income may be less than 30,000, even if you receive a perfect evaluation score.
5. You receive 0.5 hours of compensatory time for your meal break, but you may only eat inside the store. In other words, you still have to serve customers while eating. During major holidays, forget it—it is extremely difficult even to take a bite of food.
6. Every day, you must think of one post or update to report to your supervisor.
7. You are not prohibited from using your phone during working hours, because you may receive temporary instructions from your supervisor at any time. Failure to complete them will also result in evaluation deductions.
8. During the interview, the company will mention that store displays need to be arranged, but they must be updated every month. The store staff must replace the liquor-cabinet displays from scratch.
9. You must rotate between shifts and stores. There are not enough keys for the stores, so remember to check the schedule and exchange keys.
10. It is a family-run business, so opportunities for promotion are limited.
11. Please think carefully before accepting.
