The company’s philosophy is very well written—but that’s all it is: well written. Whether you actually put it into practice, you know best.

At the beginning, the interviewer provided information about the interview process and said that I should answer and communicate as my authentic self, without over-packaging myself. (At that point, I thought everything was quite good and that it was a very genuine interview interaction.)

The personality test was merely a reference tool to help understand someone, not an analysis that could be considered 100% conclusive. Your first statement was: “You are not sincere toward others. You only put on a superficial front with people and are insincere toward everyone around you.” I really want to ask how you could make such a judgment after knowing me for only a few minutes. You did not even moderate your wording, showing absolutely no respect for the job seeker—and no self-respect either. When I politely and tactfully disagreed, you actually replied, “But my analyses have hardly ever been wrong.” In that case, should you consider changing careers? Perhaps you should stop working in marketing-related fields; I recommend becoming a medium instead!

You had no genuine intention of understanding the job seeker, but kept aggressively pressuring, criticizing, looking down on, and belittling me. From beginning to end, you maintained that self-righteous expression and attitude.

It does not matter if you look down on me, but there is no need to look down on my family as well. What my family does has to do with my job search, exactly? You even asked, “Why would a woman want to work for a motor-oil company?” What does my mother’s job have to do with you?

I seriously wondered whether I was actually at a job interview or being humiliated. I felt extremely uncomfortable, as though my psyche had been violated.

Employers and job seekers are equals. A company this terrible, whose people are insincere and discourteous and who do not respect their subordinates, will likewise never earn others’ recognition or respect. Please show some self-respect.

So this is what happens when an inferiority complex turns into arrogance. I truly learned a lesson. It also reminds me that I must always treat others with respect in the future. Thank you. I also believe that if you do not change this way of operating, you will never build a great business. No wonder the company is still so small. Once again, please show some self-respect.
