The colleagues are great—we exercise, work out, and eat together after work.

1. The boss does not value talent. People should be retained in the ordinary course of things, rather than waiting until they submit their resignation before trying to persuade them to stay.

2. The turnover rate is extremely high. In the two years since I joined, 12 engineers have already left, so the company no longer has any senior engineers.

3. This company claims to have been established for more than 25 years as a software company, yet it does not have the slightest bit of corporate culture or organizational structure. How wonderful do you think working here will be?

4. The senior colleagues above me all say this is a good place to build up your skills, but given the circumstances of their time, that was indeed the case. Back then, the company had many engineers—enough to fill all the seats—and experienced colleagues to guide newcomers in developing their skills and learning technical knowledge. Now, however, the company cannot retain talent, the turnover rate is too high, and too few newcomers are hired to replace those who leave, resulting in an increasingly serious skills gap.

The later newcomers join, the greater the pressure they face, so be mentally prepared.

Engineers who usually stay for two full years will definitely leave. The boss manages people without winning their loyalty. A senior colleague told me that this is not a company worth making sacrifices for. I now feel the same way, and the company’s systems and work environment are constantly wearing away your passion and motivation for the job. The longer you work here, the more exhausted you become.

In summary, this is a sunset company; its glory days are gone. Think carefully before coming here.
