A reasonable level of freedom
1. The boss is extremely authoritarian and also very disrespectful toward employees. Example: a catchphrase is, “You’re not doing any work.”
2. To meet the boss’s demands, most senior managers merely go through the motions to placate the boss, while the problems remain unresolved.
3. All processes are set by the boss, so the managers here are merely the boss’s pawns. They can only follow the boss’s instructions and are not allowed to have their own ideas.
