The interview was around 7–8 p.m. Indeed, as others have said, everyone was still working at the company that late! I really wanted to make a run for it then...

The boss conducting the interview was very young and quite handsome, but he spoke in a somewhat blunt, rough, and streetwise manner. Although he smiled, I could tell he wouldn’t be easy to get along with. In the end, he didn’t really seem to want to know anything, and I didn’t have much to ask either, so I left. It was obvious they wanted someone capable and highly skilled, but with only NT$24,000 and mandatory unpaid overtime, I absolutely wouldn’t want to work there!

The job I found afterward pays over NT$6,000 more, and I only work overtime occasionally (with overtime pay, too). I’m truly happy now!

I advise everyone: if you’re not willing to be exploited, don’t go. I really don’t understand how the people at this company can keep working there (?
