櫻雪旅行社股份有限公司
Pros

You can ski as much as you like during your days off or after work.

Cons

1. Ski equipment: To use the company's equipment, you have to rent it, and you must rent it for an entire month at a time. As for lift passes, you also have to purchase a season pass.

2. Accommodation: Some of the accommodation is company-owned, while some is rented from hotels. The cost could get you a small studio apartment in Taipei. Not to mention that here, 2–4 people share one room. The accommodation is average overall, and it mainly depends on which dormitory you are assigned to.

3. Insurance: There is no insurance provided; you have to arrange and pay for it yourself.

4. Salary and scheduling days off: Pay is calculated by the number of hours worked, but only teaching hours count. This excludes helping customers put on their equipment in the morning, organizing the equipment returned in the afternoon and preparing equipment for the next day, and helping customers check in at night. You must also reach a certain number of hours; otherwise, you receive only half pay. Even being short by two hours results in half pay. Therefore, it is difficult to schedule the days off you want, because the other instructors also need to meet their required hours. Pay is issued approximately every 10 days in New Taiwan dollars, while the accommodation and equipment fees mentioned above must be paid in Japanese yen.

5. Actual working conditions: The working day is almost always from 8:00 to 18:30. Teaching hours range from a maximum of 8 hours to a minimum of 2 hours, with an average of about 4 hours. The remaining time is generally spent helping customers put on equipment, organizing ski equipment, and checking in customers.

6. Complaint channels: It is normal for an issue to have to go through a supervisor and then the boss. However, when the entire company has only one supervisor and the boss keeps assigning them a pile of tasks, I believe several days may have passed by the time you receive a response.

Summary: If you really love skiing, come give it a try. However, don't come expecting to break even. The airfare, accommodation, lift passes, and equipment costs mentioned above will leave you losing a considerable amount of money.
