The company structure is flat and flexible. At present, the only bosses are the boss and the chairman. The chairman is a walking story machine—when he was young, he was a man who rode the winds and waves. The boss is very young—so young that hearing his age made me question my life—but he is capable and willing to listen to employees’ opinions. He is also a boss who cares about his employees.
Working hours are flexible, and everyone basically leaves very quickly after work. Colleagues support one another, and most colleagues have excellent backgrounds. I don’t know why, but there are many colleagues from central and southern Taiwan. When the pandemic was particularly severe some time ago, the boss even gave the PMs a raise, as well as the engineers—except me, sob sob sob. I’m currently the company’s first salesperson, and as a salesperson, I have to rely on performance to make a living. QAQ
The office location is very convenient! Business trips are reimbursed as company expenses. When the boss goes on business trips, he brings snacks back for everyone from time to time. Employees receive a cash gift and a cake on their birthdays, and everyone celebrates together. The company also has an excellent view—good enough to see the Taipei 101 fireworks and the Dadaocheng Fireworks Festival.
It may simply be very difficult to lose weight here. People at our company don’t seem to be very enthusiastic about exercise... and there is also a lot of food...
Right now, when performance isn’t good, we try to find ways to solve it (this is due to my own performance; the boss’s performance is very good), but this doesn’t seem to have much to do with the company’s shortcomings. Sometimes there are communication conflicts, but so far, I feel that as long as we communicate reasonably, there is nothing that cannot be handled. Also, cockroaches frequently crawl around my desk, and we have to disinfect once a week, which is very annoying. I’ve heard that if you sit next to the boss, there will be cockroaches (?). I’ve also heard that cockroaches fall from the ceiling. I hope we can change offices soon. QAQ
Here, I would like to speak up for the boss. I came here from Want Want Holdings. I think Want Want is also a good company; every company has its own internal issues. I left because it did not align with my expectations for personal development, and I wanted to switch to a path in data analysis. It was also because of my time at Want Want that I learned about this company, Turing.
Although it is right next door, I didn’t know that so many things had happened at the company before (if I had seen all the reviews below before coming here, I might have been shocked). But I have now been at the company for more than three months, and at least for now, the boss is very dedicated to giving everyone opportunities. It is a fact that the work pressure is high, but I think every job has the problem of high pressure, so it doesn’t seem necessary to count that as a shortcoming.
I really hope some new PM colleagues will join us, since they will be colleagues I work with in the future (unless something unexpected happens, I should stay here for the long term unless I lack the ability). Indeed, as the boss said, the company now has clear systems. Every Tuesday, the boss also holds “Newbie Village” training for new employees. If anyone doesn’t understand something, they can raise it for discussion right away. If you have any questions, you can ask the boss privately or raise them on the spot, and everyone will give you reasonable feedback.
Although the company’s business is getting busier and busier, I haven’t been unable to schedule time with the boss because of that. I don’t know what things will be like in the future, but what I want to say is that whenever there is a problem, there is definitely a way to solve it. Based on my experience here so far, problems really are being resolved. I hope the people who see this message can give our company a chance. I believe the company will have great development in the future and will not let down everyone who works hard here. I hope we have the chance to become good colleagues together.
