I originally applied on 104 for the position of Game Front-End Assistant Engineer. HR called and said that the supervisor had reviewed my résumé and wanted to invite me to interview for a “Front-End Engineer” position.
After arriving, I was asked to fill out basic information, personality traits, and a PHP engineer test (the most important part). It took approximately 40 minutes to complete everything.
The interviewing supervisor asked questions about my projects, but they were all backend-related. Then I asked what the job responsibilities would be if I were hired, and only then did the supervisor say that they were actually looking for a backend engineer, not a frontend engineer (???).
The company only uses jQuery on the frontend and has no frontend frameworks.
All in all, it felt like I had been tricked into coming to the interview.
