The company is very new and clean, and the manager is fairly attractive.

The initial notification did not mention that there would be a first interview and a three-day, full-day second interview. Before the interview, we also had to watch a segment supposedly featuring “senior colleagues” sharing their experiences of participating in the second interview. It was nothing more than a direct-selling-style advertisement about how great the company was, how friendly the manager was, and how they wanted to change themselves.

The first round consisted of a written test and an individual interview. The written questions were very simple. During the interview, the manager said that what they needed were immediately effective employees with extensive experience. The problem is that their starting salary is at most NT$27,000; even with the NT$1,500 perfect-attendance bonus, it is still too low to attract experienced talent.

The biggest problem was the second interview after passing the first round. It required full-day participation for three days, which felt very much like a three-day trial period, but there was no pay—only a small transportation allowance.

Also, although I applied for a design assistant position, the job was not in the design department but in the sales department, where I would have to meet performance targets.
