The interview ended in less than half an hour.
This company basically just randomly finds people to interview for purchasing positions. They sent a message after 6 p.m. asking me to come for an interview the next day, and when I arrived, I found that the interview room had not been cleared in advance, so I had to wait for them to tidy it up. The interviewer had not looked at my 104 resume at all and asked questions solely based on the resume form I filled out on the spot. They only asked about my experience at one of the companies I had worked for, simply because it happened to be in the same industry. After finishing their questions, they very politely criticized me for not understanding the products and only recognizing part numbers, and for not knowing how to read product images. (At the time, I was not in purchasing—why were they asking about duties that were not part of my position and that I had never had the opportunity to perform?????) From the job description, I realized that this was very likely a position involving overtime, because employees had to wait until all shipments had gone out before leaving work. For a small company operating out of a residence like this, even the owner could not show candidates the most basic respect. The salary offered was not particularly high either, so there is no need to make a special trip and waste your time. The interview itself was also completely unworthy of being counted as career experience.
