This company is truly terrifying. The atmosphere at work is bizarre, and there are surveillance cameras monitoring the area behind the office. As soon as you arrive at work, you have to leave your bag in the storage lockers by the entrance, and you are not allowed to keep your phone on your desk. However, the drawers of your own desk contain customers’ orders and documents, so other employees can open and rummage through them at will.
You are not allowed to use messaging apps or desk phones at work; you can only use Skype to discuss work matters with colleagues. Yet the long-time employees also use Skype to chat with their friends.
Most importantly, the culture of long-time employees bullying newcomers is extremely serious. After being there for less than a month, you have not learned much, yet you are constantly scolded and told that you have been taught many times but still do not understand. Those training others become impatient very easily. They form cliques, secretly badmouth people, and even criticize newcomers in front of them. During morning cleaning, newcomers are always cleaning very diligently while the long-time employees chat nearby. It makes you feel bullied.
No lunch or lunch subsidy is provided, and they order lunch from the same boxed-meal shop every day without ever changing it.
The salary is low. The NT$2,000 perfect-attendance bonus is forfeited even if you take only half a day off. Taking leave is also difficult; if you request leave, you are questioned extensively. One employee resigned after working there for a week, and the boss initially did not even want to pay them.
The turnover rate is extremely high. In short, you really need to think twice before taking a job there!!!
