Cons

In October 2019, after the company founder was “asked” to leave,

all new specs have been dictated by mainland China business needs.

They are unwilling to develop potential customers.

They only hold out their hands and ask for products that are easy to sell.

As a result, the Taipei R&D team stopped developing products that had been in development and testing for years,

and instead worked on some strange, half-baked things.

The new supervisor is someone who likes to say things such as “This is simple, right?” and “This will be done in no time.”

They once said, “If you want to take leave, just take it—that means you must not be very busy.”

Under this person’s leadership, the company claims that employees do not need to clock in,

but is nevertheless very concerned about working hours.

Therefore, employees are required to arrive at the office before 9:30.

The company claims to allow remote work—

at least, that was the case when the founder was still there.

But that is no longer allowed.

For various reasons, a wave of resignations began at the start of the year.

Seven people left the 21-person R&D team.

Five people, including the supervisor, left the 11-person QA team.

So many long-serving employees left, including core technical staff and a supervisor.

The head of the R&D team is currently struggling to keep things going. With them there, an R&D position may be worth considering.

There is currently a problematic person in the QA department. Reportedly, almost all QA staff refuse to work with this person on a project. In addition, the team currently has no leader, so please think carefully before applying for a QA position.
