The interview process was like a machine gun:
very brief and to the point, without wasting time,
making you want to make a decision on the spot before you’ve even finished listening.
The salary listed on the job site was NT$23,800–50,000.
As long as, during your first month after joining, you make phone calls inviting parents to try the courses, and successfully assist the sales team in selling 262 sets of teaching materials, you can receive NT$50,000 the following month.
I applied for an in-house customer service position.
Although they said it wasn’t a telemarketing job and there was no performance pressure,
what you actually do is call unsuspecting parents and invite them and their children to try the teaching materials.
(This sounds a lot like telemarketing.)
Of course, closing the sale is handled by the sales team,
and if the sale goes through, you can also receive a NT$100 commission as a reward.
As for days off, you get eight days off per month and arrange your own schedule, but they said these are “usually” weekdays, because weekends are the golden period for making phone calls, so you have to seize the opportunity to “earn extra bonuses.”
(I applied for an in-house position—why should the golden period for telemarketing have anything to do with me?)
The salary is simply NT$23,800, with a supposed salary increase based on ability.
(Well… everyone knows what that means.)
