Basically, all the company’s supervisors shift responsibility completely. No matter what goes wrong, it is always someone else’s fault.
Basically, the company’s R&D department has extremely broad authority because its supervisor is highly respected (due to both seniority and age). Her jurisdiction covers not only sales quotations but also plant operations, quality control, procurement, production control, and warehouse management. Under the banner of acting in the company’s best interests, she interferes in absolutely everything. Basically, calling her the de facto plant manager would not be an exaggeration.
At work, she is extremely self-serving. Those who comply with her thrive; those who oppose her perish.
If you come to work here, never make her unhappy... As long as she is unhappy, she will do everything possible to get you fired.
