√ A Pomeranian dog keeps us company at work
√ Occasional afternoon tea and group meals
√ One-person, end-to-end independent work: although you apply for a graphic design and editing position, the role also covers marketing, warehouse management, shipping, and customer service. When there are multiple groups of customers at the store, you also have to help out. When everyone is busy, you have to support them, but when you are busy, there is no one to help you (despite your design expertise).
√ If products are sent incorrectly or are out of stock, you have to find a way to resolve it yourself, and pay the shipping costs yourself to have the customer return the item.
√ The pay raise promised during the interview was not offered until you were about to resign.
√ Even when promotional campaigns sell well, there is no bonus—but accounting gets bonuses???
√ No annual leave / no contributions to labor insurance.
√ Our work requires spending long periods of time in front of a computer: comparing prices, calculating promotional costs, finding information, retouching images, laying out designs, and discussing matters with the PM. Yet all of this is treated as if no one knows what we are busy doing……
√ You have to calculate promotional prices, but the company does not provide the actual costs—only wholesale prices. After you calculate the promotional price using a formula, they complain, “How can this price possibly work?”
