The environment is okay.
During the interview, this company hands out a questionnaire with checkboxes asking things like whether you use drugs or have an infectious disease.
Two or three days after the interview, they called to say I was hired. But when the start date was approaching, they called again and said that because I had checked “yes” to all the questions on the questionnaire, the supervisor did not want to hire someone like that and the documents had been rejected. I was completely stunned.
They said I had been hired in the first place, which implied that the supervisor had already reviewed all the information. Now they claim that the documents were rejected after the supervisor saw them.
If they found a better candidate, they should just say so. How can they reject someone based on a completed questionnaire? Very unprofessional.
