There are way too many company rules. You can only drink water inside, and the boss is unbelievably stingy—things are still used even when they’re broken.

There are many older employees, and there’s a lot of gossip and loose talk; bad news travels fast. Small groups engage in vicious infighting. You can’t speak carelessly there—there are informants.

Supervisors give unclear instructions, distribute work unevenly, and blame subordinates for their own mistakes. A lot of time is often wasted, leading to overtime later.

Employee training is handled perfunctorily (depending on the department). Almost everything is taught and led by foreign workers, and there’s no such thing as an SOP; procedures are frequently changed back and forth.

There are also many employees who have worked there for over ten years, working hard and helping the company prepare for audits, only to win a NT$100 scratch-off lottery ticket at the year-end banquet (lol
