協祥機械工業股份有限公司
Pros

This company follows Japan’s vacation schedule, so there are two long holidays! One is the annual leave period and the other is the summer holiday period (“but they will still find a time to make up for work”).

Cons

There are quite a few. As far as I know, they include the following points.

1. Short break times: during the first four hours, there is only one five-minute break, and the lunch break is only 30 minutes.

2. Many on-site team leaders do not do their jobs. Every unit is the same and has the attitude that it is better to do less than to take on more responsibility. If newly hired operators are learning how to operate the machines, they still have to learn from foreign workers. There is absolutely no management.

3. The wages do not comply with the Labor Standards Act. Office staff who work overtime are not paid (“a responsibility-based system”) and receive compensatory leave instead.

4. They have work-study students and similar workers. Since they cannot recruit Taiwanese workers, they can only keep bringing in work-study students. Besides the pitifully low wages, they also make one person do the work of three.

5. Rewards and punishments are not clearly administered! People with connections have it the best! As long as you have a good relationship with the supervisor, everything is fine! If not, you had better start praying 👋.

6. The standard of conduct on-site is extremely low. Every now and then, people say things like, “Where do you think I come from?” and “How dare you?” They endlessly use profanity when speaking with office staff.

7. Not a single middle manager knows how to do their job. There is workplace sexual harassment, such as asking you how you have sex and how large your breasts are—and it is not done in private. If you report him to others, he will use every possible means to defame you and force you out. Otherwise, he will use his family’s influence to threaten you, saying that he will get someone to beat you up. There are also managers who know nothing: if you ask them about something you do not understand at work, they will directly say, “I don’t know about this. Which supervisor or which person should you ask? I’m only responsible for such-and-such,” and so on. There are far too many examples.

In conclusion! The management and the work content are both terrible! As a downstream supplier of Kuozui Motors, it is not a small company, and it even has factories in mainland China! But the internal management is truly, truly awful! If you do not believe me, you can go work there and see for yourself~
