Pros

Colleagues get along harmoniously and are all very willing to support and help one another. Other than that... nothing.

Cons

1. The boss has strong subjective opinions and often says, “Although I don’t know how to do this, I understand it!” This causes difficulties and trouble for the people carrying out the work because he does not respect professional expertise and bases most things on imagination.

2. Building on the above, what kind of situation does this create? Regarding each department’s responsibilities, their importance, the time required for the work, and so on, he often says, “Why does it take so much time? What are you doing?” Actually, this can be good or bad—like playing rock-paper-scissors. Either you get criticized for being too idle (even though you are actually very busy), or you are genuinely idle (but he won’t bother you). Everyone, it’s very exciting, so if your usual conduct isn’t great, think twice.

3. Job transfers are as simple as eating three meals a day. I originally sold fried chicken cutlets, then the next day I was selling vegetarian food; I was originally a fitness trainer, then the next day I became a fat otaku. That’s roughly the idea. The record is even more impressive: in a single meeting lasting less than 30 minutes, there can be three different versions. You can only make sure he doesn’t remember you; otherwise, it’s very easy to feel at a loss.

4. The following point is very important: basically, you should discount anything the company promises you by 20%, and sometimes even by 90%. This includes the position’s responsibilities, benefits, salary, and department structure. Managerial positions are generally merely nominal.

5. The company places extremely little importance on team cohesion and treats talent like disposable chopsticks. You will find that interviews are taking place every day, while at the same time, people are leaving or being laid off almost every day. Because the work involves exhibitions, accumulated compensatory leave is common. Company policy says that you can take time off in lieu, but they often force you to take it at times when you absolutely do not want to, and even require you to use compensatory leave or personal leave for the year-end banquet! Oh right, there is also a rule that people who joined within a certain number of months before the event cannot attend. Then why do we still have to request leave and lose pay? What is that supposed to mean... You can’t even work when you want to...

6. While working there, I often wondered why this company simply copies and pastes everything from the previous year. I also once actively tried to change this culture, hoping that one day I would see sweeping changes. Even with so many shortcomings, I still like this company very much :)
