The company is in a remote location. Upon arrival, I was given an intelligence test and a health examination questionnaire... After I finished, which took about half an hour, the HR manager came to collect it.
A manager interview was arranged. Although there was some friendly conversation during the interview, it seemed to be handled rather perfunctorily because the entire interview lasted only 10 minutes.
Later, the HR manager came over and said, “We’re sorry, but we’re unable to hire you. Would you like to try one of the other shift positions?” (The original job posting only mentioned regular daytime positions.).....A wasted trip and transportation expense.
