The monthly salary is fairly good.
104 lists year-end and performance bonuses, but in reality there are none. The performance bonus is annual, and one store among all the stores receives NT$5,000, which the employees of that store then use for a group meal of their choice; apart from what is required by the Labor Standards Act, this company offers virtually no benefits; there is a smooth promotion system—regardless of ability, employees receive a raise after working for a certain period, which has encouraged some employees to adopt a retirement-minded attitude and wears out the people who are genuinely doing the work; to avoid exceeding the working hours stipulated by the Labor Standards Act, split-shift gaps have to be extended, effectively tying employees to the company for long periods; when business is slow, employees are also criticized for their hours and consequently have their shifts cut.
