They called to invite me to an interview, but HR didn’t even send a confirmation email, which was quite baffling.

When I arrived, the reception staff were all fairly old.

The interview was conducted partly in English and partly in Chinese. They did not ask clear questions, apparently believing that if you prepared well, you would be able to answer the key points. However, if they felt you had not answered the key points, they would interrupt you directly and ask you to answer again. They were really aggressive.

Throughout the interview, they kept criticizing my experience and questioning my abilities. The interviewer also seemed not to have a good understanding of current marketing, so we were constantly on different wavelengths, and I was then questioned for supposedly not having prepared.

The company information did not mention that it was a direct-sales business, but everything shared online said it was direct sales. When I brought this up during the interview, they immediately said that I had not checked the information carefully, that I had got it wrong, and then continued to argue defensively.

Although they boast that they are the world’s fifth-largest direct-sales company, it is hard to believe that their salary levels are competitive.
