Pros

1. All the employees are very nice and friendly. They won’t look down on or bully you just because you’re new. They’re willing to help and teach you, as long as you dare to ask and are willing to learn!

2. Every Friday (or the last working day of the week), the company buys snacks for the employees. Since it’s near the Wumiao commercial district, there are plenty of options!

3. Working hours are flexible. You can arrive between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m., take a one-hour-and-15-minute lunch break, and leave between 5:30 and 5:45 p.m. Your actual clock-in time determines your schedule; in any case, you work eight hours a day.

4. The company is located in an office building, and the entire floor belongs to the company, so you don’t have to share restrooms or similar facilities with other companies.

5. The company provides a coffee machine and coffee beans, so employees can make coffee themselves. It also provides a microwave, but employees use it in order from senior to junior, so the newer you are, the later you’ll eat~ However, if you have something to do at lunchtime, you can let them know in advance.

6. The company mainly works with state-owned enterprises, so working hours are fixed and there aren’t many opportunities for overtime.

Cons

1. It’s a small family-owned business with a very large office, but fewer than 20 employees, so the office is usually extremely quiet....

2. The boss’s thinking is old-fashioned and traditional, and their perspective is narrow.

3. The company is constantly being hacked. The boss refuses to spend money hiring professionals to maintain security, so they can only rely on manual identification and handling.

4. The boss’s wife only likes experienced employees; she makes insinuating personal attacks; and her voice is extremely loud, which affects employees’ work.

5. The boss and the manager like to discuss politics loudly during lunch breaks.

6. The manager herself works very inefficiently, and the administrative assistant has to clean up a lot of her messes. Her working methods are rigid and old-fashioned: every email has to be printed out, and she is the only one who knows how the files are organized (the assistant has to search endlessly). She insists on her own opinions and seems kind but is impossible to communicate with—don’t be fooled!

7. The manager cannot lead or train people, although she has plenty of mysterious-sounding platitudes to offer.

8. The manager’s hygiene etiquette is poor. She burps loudly in the office without covering her mouth; you can hear the HUGE burps from 100 meters away.

9. When she makes mistakes, she won’t step in to help even when the assistant gets reprimanded for them. She is extremely selfish.

Overall, if you want to work as an assistant at this company, you absolutely must have experience!!! Even if you’re an organized person, it’s useless, coz your boss neither appreciates your effort nor follows your system!

<<IMPORTANT>> This company has no understanding of labor law. It does not pay severance to employees (they make up their own rule: they don’t pay severance to employees during the probationary period, but legally there is no such thing as a probationary period, okay? Wake up), and it does not provide certificates of involuntary termination! If you request a mediation meeting, they will simply cancel it and not show up!
