Although it presents itself as a foreign company, in practice it operates like a Taiwanese company. The gifts received during holidays are always products the company could not sell. There are communication problems between departments, frequently resulting in overtime without overtime pay. There is no clock-in system, but arriving late in the morning is not forgiven, while overtime is taken for granted by supervisors. Annual bonuses and leave depend on the supervisor’s mood, which is extremely unreasonable. A good supervisor can take you to heaven, while an incompetent one can send you to hell. I happened to have a supervisor who was very good at slacking off, while also being very good at putting on a show. He would even present other people’s work to upper management as his own achievements, which was truly unacceptable. Anyone considering working here should keep their eyes wide open and judge carefully. Moreover, in the past few years, the company has already begun laying off employees, dismissing many veteran employees who had worked hard for years just before they reached the retirement threshold.
